Submission Guidelines
- Submissions should include the theme of how your yoga and/or meditation practice has had an effect with a relationship with a child or how your child’s participation in yoga has had a tangible effect. We are also open to accepting general yoga stories where the lesson can be directly applied to a relationship with children; if this is the case please illustrate the cross over. Please include only accurate true-life stories.
- You must be willing attest to the fact that this is your true story.
- Submissions must be between 250 and 2,000 words (excluding biography). Other lengths will be considered only if it is necessary to the telling of the story.
- The submission must be in written form (essay, poem etc. but no artwork) and should be submitted in Word document format.
- Include an interesting catchy title for your piece.
- Include the following information how you would like it to appear published: name, email, telephone number, web site/blog and brief biography. Indicate if there are any pieces of that information which you would NOT wish to be published such as telephone number, email etc. but please include that information in your submission in case we need to contact you.
- Accepted articles will be proofread/re-formatted and corrected if necessary. Any editorial content changes will be submitted for your approval prior to publishing.
- Deadline for submission by email is: Dec 31, 2012. Please email info@littlebodiesbigsouls.com to submit your story. Please include the story as an attached Word document.
Acceptance Criteria
Criteria for acceptance includes but is not limited to: Heart warming inspirational quality, quality writing, practical application of lesson learned, the message, and originality of the work. You will be notified via email if your submission has been selected. Rejection notices will not be sent.
